We’re thrilled to share that, together with ChicP, we’ve been shortlisted for the Food Manufacture Collaboration and Partnership Award at the 2026 Excellence Awards. This recognition celebrates the work we’ve done hand in hand to bring ambitious food ideas to life.
Back in 2022, Hannah McCollum from ChicP came to us with a challenge: to create a preservative free ambient hummus with innovative packaging, something that hadn’t been done before. We worked closely with her every step of the way, from tweaking recipes to perfecting the retort process and solving packaging challenges. After several trials, we found the right balance, creating a product that kept its flavour, texture, and quality, while also being safe and having an extended shelf life.
What makes this partnership so special is how it reflects our approach: helping smaller food businesses scale up, reduce waste, and bring exciting new products to market. Beyond ChicP, we’ve supported other entrepreneurs with thermal processing, validation, and small batch production, helping them turn innovative ideas into reality.
Being shortlisted for this award highlights the power of collaboration, when two small businesses combine their expertise, we can achieve something bigger than either of us could alone. We’re proud of what we’ve created together and look forward to helping more brands grow.
